Born into an abusive and violent family environment in Swansea, Wales, Julie-Anne Grace discovered as a young child that she could sing. Singing became a form of escape from the pain, and she would regularly climb into her bedroom cupboard to sing when she knew no one was listening. Even as a young child Julie-Anne felt that her life was about something “more,” that she was meant to help people in some way, though she could never have imagined the form this would take.
Leaving home at just sixteen, Julie-Anne completed a two-year diploma in Music and Performance in Bristol, U.K. She went on to sing in restaurants, bars, hotels and indeed anywhere she could both in the U.K. and internationally. She also began teaching singing and performance, both one-to-one and group workshops.
It wasn’t until Julie-Anne left her marriage in California to go to Bali, Indonesia that she discovered her gift for songwriting. She wrote her debut album “Met by Grace” in Bali. Her second album “She Sings, She Soars” followed during the pandemic lockdown. Her music reflects her own experiences and healing journey with a message of hope and celebration of the human spirit.
With a strong interest in Spirituality, healing and personal growth, Julie-Anne has very much been on her own journey to release the pain and trauma of the past.
Julie-Anne never forgot the deep “calling” she felt on her life, and it was when she wrote her albums that this began to take shape. She knew that she needed to share her story of healing from the pain of trauma and abuse to inspire and give hope to others, thus her “Keynote Concerts” were born; a transformational combination of speaking, storytelling and original music.
